Hello. I'm Richard Ager. Welcome to NH Outlook. This month marks the 10th anniversary of the culmination of one of the longest political fights in modern NH history: the official adoption of the Martin Luther King Holiday. At one point, this state was the lone hold-out in defying the will of the nation to honor MLK. It earned us praise from the KKK, and condemnation from a wide range of churches and civic organizations. We'll take a look at the legacy of Dr. King in just a moment, but first, a brief telling of the long fight to win his day.
